You'll meet new people from a multitude of countries. You'll have fun with the many different personality types the world has to offer. There're a lot of interesting folks out there. Since it's possible your computer is within arms reach of your pillow, you can choose to never leave your bed. Teach in your pajamas with matted hair if you want. Most students don't care if you use your webcam or not (but make sure to use it during your trial lesson that you're sure to offer).

Many students are apt to talk 90% of the time, so you'll get paid to sit and just listen.

Without a nagging boss around, you can set your own hours and frequency of work. Teach as much or as little as you want. And if something comes up, it's easy to cancel or postpone a lesson. I've been most successful at selling simple conversations, vocabulary, and American slang lessons. I sold 50 minute conversations for 20 bucks each and vocabulary and slang lessons for 25 dollars each. Experienced teachers who offer highly specialized lessons can make up to 50 dollars per lesson. Wow!

Most students are more than willing to buy package deals, so I got $100 to $500 a pop for offering a package deal of say 5 to 20 sessions (only fifty minutes each).
